The only officially approved TOS 2.06 upgrade for the STE and STFM.
STFM
The STFM version (known as the T-Board) requires a small amount of soldering. The board requires the user to run a software program to switch to the newer version of TOS
STE
The STE version plugs directly on top of 68000 chip and uses a hardware switch to flick between the old and new versions of TOS.
