That was the location I tried before posting my initial question as I could not find the Atari AUTO/O drive contents there.
So it is not of much help here.

CosmosEX Atari side drivers

Is there a driver package with all Atari side drivers for the CosmosEX around that can be placed on a floppy (image) for installation? I found a link to CE_CONF.PRG on Jookie's site but I would need CE_DD.PRG for the AUTO folder as I have only the SD card ACSI drive working and being visbile but not...

Re: Console background color / e.g. Okami-shell or file preview

Well the actual display is always bitmapped, TOS output routines handle it as a pseudo text terminal, true. With the VT52 sequences, from my experience, it may be necessary to clear the screen first. And with changing colors I assumed the OP meant the RGB definition (as this is what the Control Pane...

Disassemble raw binary files with m68k crosscompilers

I tried to disassemble a raw binary file with the cross GNU toolchain on my Linux box but I don't get any source output. $ m68k-atari-mint-objdump -b binary -m m68k -s nop.bin nop.bin: file format binary Contents of section .data: 0000 4e714e75 NqNu -m m68k was necessary as binary alone wasn't suffi...

No as the ST has no text mode. You can only set the global colors on the desktop and any application may change them to their own liking.

I'd rather worry about those patched games and always use a hard reset to end one.

Re: Difference low/med res

Question 1: Many games are buggy when run from ST-MED desktop. So yes, you must care.
Question 2: No real advantage. I normally have a desktop wtih larger resolution on harddisk. I either boot games from harddisk with CTRL down or my AUTO folder menu which handles the resolution switch.

I buy mine at Amazon (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01CTY28CC) but these come with the unusable stock firmware. I reflash them with FlashFloppy afterwards.

By googling you should be able to find preflashed ones or you can directly go for Goex aswell.

Re: A small present from the 90s...

Archie *droool* Never had contacts but also one from 1995-early 1997. Dunno if the disks survived. Maybe I'll rescue it from the attic and fit a Gotek. My brother bought it in 1990 or 1991, I first inherited his good ole 520STM and years later his Archimedes A3000 with 2MB RAM. It beat the Amiga to ...

Re: AHCC debugger?

If you are developing with Hatari, I created my own set of printf() style debugging which outputs to the NATFEATS console on the host.

See https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.p ... 12#p288112

I combine C style asserts with printf-style. For my needs with Hatari it works well.

The protocol is working correctly as seen in my Chrome. You have to accept the certificate or leave if you think that is a problem. The protocol itself is established and running.

Hehe, I remember you PP site as one of the first Atari related ones I ever browsed when i first got internet access in 1997. The URL certainly rings a bell. Do the disks have the original bootsectors on? As most versions I know have the LGD patched Medway Boys Protector II on which sometimes spoils ...

Re: What do the letters SNDH stand for?

The official spec doesn't explain it. See http://sndh.atari.org/fileformat.php

I suspect it is short for "Sound Header" as the format mainly specifies a metadata header with jump vectors.

Another point might be a missing or buggy TOS image. Make sure to use a proper TOS or latest EmuTOS. I'm not sure if Ubuntu provides anything sane.

No I didn't. The code is quite messy at some points and I always wanted to add nicer graphics. However the graphics men who opted to create something never got back to me.

Maybe I'll reconsider sharing the sources someday.

I think it is less of the C compiler than the Devpac compatible assembler which they like.
