Re: new Nova drivers

Well, we're all into this (be it developing software, demos, games, hardware or whatever) for the fun of it. I get the feeling that Idek perhaps wasn't able to find the joy in doing it anymore, and then it's definitely time to stop and go on as he said himself. It's a big loss for sure. His work wa...

I legit had hardware issues, so was unable to test. Not to mention little available time. Shocked no one else stepped up to test.

Re: new Nova drivers

Ha, I finally found time last night to replace the memory in my ET4000w32i, and that sort of seemed to fix the corruption in win98, but I think I need to reflow bits of it as it still is a little crappy.

This is why I posted publicly. Pretty sure my card is just crap. And that it worked at all on the TT was a miracle.

Re: new Nova drivers

I told you already that my drivers currently don't support 2MB for the W32i card, so no surprise for me. Could you please NOT post beta test information publicly? That does not help the process and just increases the confusion within this thread. For any analysis, I will also need more information ...

Re: new Nova drivers

Well I tested out this card; but it gives me screen corruption with the new driver. Still works with the NVDI driver, but then it also gives me screen corruption with Windows 98 too.

I filled out the RAM slots on it, so that probably is the reason why?

This is genuinely fascinating to me as I'm in retail tech. What kind of features are you supporting in it? Thanks for your interest! If I order a Firebee....

Can I actually get one? I mean I clicked on the link here http://www.medusacomputer.com/coldari.html and it sure looks like I can order / pay for one... but would I actually receive one? I thought they were out of stock / sold out a long time ago. Kind of curios about owning one, though I'm not sure...

Is it just a chip swap? Mine aren't SMDs, so I could probably try myself (not sure if just adding sockets would make it so a hard drive won't fit any more though).

Re: Pre-configured Disk Image for productivity?

Just throwing this in: GPL was a good licence then to get Open Source into the heads and started. It was the next logical step from Public Domain software. But nowadays it is just a licence that makes everything more complicated than it helps due to its viral effect. In modern times, Apache 2.0 lic...
