That would be an amazing helpful feature!
Option 2: Is there a list of the standard setup for each of the possible systems? Processor... CPU... Clock...

Re: Standalone gamepack using HATARI

As per GPL licence (used both by Hatari and EmuTOS), sources need to be provided when binaries are distributed. If binaries are from unmodified sources, link to sources provided by upstream is enough, but must be there. This should be made clear in your documentation. Thanks for the Info! I hope I ...

Standalone gamepack using HATARI

Hi to all HATARI and EmuTOS creators! This August I presented my Windows Standalone Game Pack for ATARI ST/STe games/demos at Silly Venture 2022SE. It uses HATARI and EmuTOS to create a "Native Windows Game Experience" for folks who have no knowledge of Emulators. The Idea is that an ATARI...

Re: Virus warning for Windows-Standalone Versions - (off-topic)

PS2EXE was flagged as a false positive but it was fixed over a year ago in MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. Some AVs with old definition files might flag it as a false positive. That is a very interesting info. In my case the PS2EXE .exe was flagged in Feb 2022 by up to date Windows Defender. (That was t...

Virus warning for Windows-Standalone Versions - (off-topic)

This is a bit of an off-topic. But maybe somebody can help my with it: All of my ATARI ST games are available as “Windows Standlone Versions” from https://anarcholab.itch.io/ The way it works is fairly simple: I use Windows powerscript to call HATARI emulator+emuTOS fully configured. And for a comfo...

Re: Atari ST on Amiga 500 Mini

IMO, the Falcon just never had (and obviously never will have) a big enough software base to make this sort of project worthwhile. That is a valid point. But dont forget: the same goes for the Commodore 65/MEGA 65 that was never even released. Still Commodore fans are bying it. (even I am thinking ...

Re: Atari ST on Amiga 500 Mini

IMHO recreating of Atari Falcon could be perfect move. ... I personally like this thought process. And it is kinda similar to what is successfully happening with the MEGA65 in the Commodore 64 community: The dream computer of many that never really was, gets a physical re-incarnation in modern form...

Re: Atari ST on Amiga 500 Mini

As much as I would like to see an ST-Mini, I doubt that the number would be there to justify the costs. If a casual buyer is interested in the classic 16-bit home-computer games, I would consider the Amiga Mini the obvious option: most classic ST Games exist on both Systems with the AMIGA version of...

All ANARCHO Ride Lab. Games now on itch.io - including Windows Standalone

Quick update: I have made all of my games Laserball, ANARCHO Ride, FROGS, RandoMaZer and Randominer available on itch.io. https://anarcholab.itch.io/ There are Windows standalone versions for all the games as well - in case someone is not familiar with real hardware or emulators. This might come in ...

Re: New Game: RANDOMINER for ST/STe/Falcon

I was asked, why the „opening up of large free areas” in Randominer is slow. I better explain it here, for everybody who is interested in “backstage info”: This was a very deliberate design decision: In most Minesweeper clones the “opening up” is its own process. You click, and until the play-area i...

Like all my games it is written in GFA Basic. FROGS, Randominer and Randomazer using the extended featureset of GBE 3.7, that is in active development and enables a very effective development.

Re: New Game: RANDOMINER for ST/STe/Falcon

It took me a while to get back my composure. Randominer is now available for download - on a very reduced homepage. There is also a "Windows Standalone" Package. Maybe it is good to take your eyes off the news for some minutes. www.hd-videofilm.com/randominer With the space bar or ESC you ...

Hi! I just finished my latest game Randominer. I was about to bring it public, but Putins war on Ukraine killed the party. So I made a very subdued launch - no pictures, no announcements, no videos. But you can download it, an check it out: www.hd-videofilm.com/randominer The predecessor Randomazer ...

Sorry. I planned to publish Randominer this weekend 26th Feb. 2022. But as I have very personal connections to Ukraine, I don’t see this as the right time for retro fun. I might open it for download within the next days, as everything is ready to go. But with no further comments or videos. Sad time...

Re: Hatari mouse latency

It is an STe emulation. For all my Retro-coding I use a relatively old Windows 10 64bit computer. it is a i5-3470 3.20Ghz / 8GB Ram with a simple AMD Radeon R5 200 Graphicscard. It performs well on my ST/STe needs. I truly belive it is just the HATARI mouse vs. mouse-poiter travel distance that I am...

Re: Hatari mouse latency

Correction: I did a video recording. And the result is that both HATARI and STeem are fairly similar in their latency: about 0.16 Seconds. I think what generates that feeling of a higher latency might be the fact that on my setup full-screen Hatari I need to move the mouse a longer distance for the...

Hatari mouse latency

Hi to all Hatari experts. Re: New Game: RANDOMINER for ST/STe/Falcon

If you can also implement the minesweeper left+right click (i think that's the move) that also reveals the 8 squares around, along the clicked one (expecting those that have been flagged), that would be great. :) This is called "chording" and it is fully implemented - using the right mous...

Re: New Game: RANDOMINER for ST/STe/Falcon

Do you need find path forward between the mines, at which point the game scroll game field to show more of the minefield? Actually you can scroll and play the complete playfield at any time. In that regard it is like classic minesweeper – just with a playfield that is bigger than the screen. And th...
