Re: Troubleshooting network setup on aranym

I don't use Linux but I will have a stab at it... In Your aranet.sh, the ifconfig is "ifconfig tap0 192.168.1.7 pointopoint 192.168.1.128 netmask 255.255.255.255 up" and Inside your config file is "Type = bridge " IDK if that matters but may be you should try "Type = pointopoint" ( or however it is ...

Re: PCI for the Atari range

PCIe v1.0 has a data rate of around 250 MB/s per link.
I am not sure if the PCIe devices will still work when the CPU is pumping data to it at may be 1/10 (being optimistic here) of the speed to it.

Re: SvethLANa + Driver: not showing in router setup

Wongck, I'm going to wear out the MiNT pages on your website :) Glad that you found the Mint pages helpful, at least another Atari user after so long. LOL  They are now pretty old, some pages more than 10 years since it was first created. if you find some dead links let me know and I will try ...

Re: SvethLANa + Driver: not showing in router setup

Glad that you sorted it out now.

you can see the network device name by running the ifconfig command or by looking at the output from the driver during bootup (that's why I asked about the boot logging  ) as the driver usually displays it.

Re: SvethLANa + Driver: not showing in router setup

Have a CD of a complete MiNT (off Doug Littles hard disk :) ) and TOS setup with networking using a SCSI Ethernet adapter. If this were the Afterburner, all I'd have to do is copy the CD over and be up and going. I think you can still copy that CD stuff over to your CT60/63 and the just delete stuf...

Re: SvethLANa + Driver: not showing in router setup

Don't own SV nor SVethLana.... so nothing specific for those hw that i can help with... just generic troubleshooting... Can you setup logging to disk on MINT (should be left-shift on splash screen) and see what is reported by SVETHD65.XIF during boot-up ? Just make sure you don't have step-by-step o...

My STFM & Falcon top metal shield removed at least 3 decades ago and no one mention they can see my screen on their TV.
Back in the 80s, while in uni dorms, my b&w TV was able receive screens of my neighbour room computer.

Re: Adding RAM to an ST

Been years now. But the Evesham 4MB memory upgrade kit that I had did not require soldering.... they provide clips that you hook to resisters endings that you have to cut off and also an adapter to the MMU. of course soldering the the wires instead of using clips would be better but the clips did wo...

There is a configuration that states where your CPX are located.
May be that is not set to the correct location/folder.
You can probably & easily click around the Xcontrol to find that setting.

Re: Coolest thing you've ever done using your Falcon?

It's not my Falc but my STFM that made me the 1st guy in my IT dept to create a Windows program back in late 80s. I was already playing with Laser C on my STFM and have already created few programs on it for fun back then. That was the foundation. I was working at a large Multinational company and s...

I'm with LP. My first install was also KGMD, on my very first Falcon in a Desktopper case and the Nemesis accelerator, then on a TT030. Those were the days! :) I never had a chance to get KGMD or any of the installers, IIRC they was too large for the BBS and my modem that I was using in the 90s. I ...

IIRC there was some rewrite in VDI output using C in EmuTOS which includes some speed up with text in windows.
Sure shows up in the benchmark.
