Re: libpng 1.6.37 (for Pure C)
Had similiar experience a few days earlier with an assembler listing giving me fits. No soon hit the send key and instantly spotted the bug while it was listed in a discord window when I decided to share it. Teddy bears are less work than cats, might have to consider that.

Re: libpng 1.6.37 (for Pure C)
Managed to move it to gcc in short order (shocking) and it spits out zero length files. Was cleaning up my messy listing to post when I spotted a problem. Needless to say my fault, so never mind. Thanks for the Pure C port. Funny how you can stare at something for hours one day and then put...

Re: libpng 1.6.37 (for Pure C)
I'll think about it. If I do, it might be a while. Me working with gcc is like Biden falling up the steps.

libpng 1.6.37 (for Pure C)
Can't remember where I found this library for Pure-C, but I'm having a problem. It loads images fine, no problems there. However, I'm unable to save images. More precisely I can save images, no errors are reported. However, loading the image I just saved results in an error. I'm not sure what's goin...

Re: Pure C & GFA 3.6TT
The compiler manual does have an example. Good place to start. Yes, cdecl is required and I don't think it needs to be pc relative as the linker will resolve the references. It will not run in the editor.

Expect bombs if someone packs your binary to save space or it won't be able to save it's config.

Far as I know 6.061, you'll even find the source code at https://docs.dev-docs.org/htm/search.php?find=AHDI

Re: A couple abandonware apps
Anyone have a copy of TWSM/2, N.AES Workspace Manager without the 10 minute demo timer? It's written by Thomas Künneth. Was able to track down Thomas, very friendly chap, but informed me he lost all his Atari sources back in 2010.

Re: differences in vasm vs devpac assembling
Optimized or not devpac spits out the same code, that being 'opt o+' versus 'opt o-'. I never use the GUI, only the ttp and prefer to put all the options in the source code. Seems to me vasm is doing something funky.

Re: Any clone or emulator with cartridge port capabilities?
That Hades clone has a cartridge adapter board, however no longer produced. The Firebee clone lists a cartridge port, but probably requires some cable/adapter. The Firebee is currently not available, they do turn up used on occasion. http://firebee.org/fb-bin/about?lng=EN

It's actually NVDI v5.03 and I think they replaced the drivers (nvdidrv*.sys). Shoggoth can correct me if I'm wrong.

There are typically 3 "Vintage Computer Fairs" (VCF) in the US each year (East, Midwest and West). You can find more info here: https://vcfed.org/events/vintage-computer-festival-west/ Lot's of Google images: https://tinyurl.com/3np2r84n A few of us Atarian's went to VCF Midwest 2021 last...

Re: HybriSwitch software from Hybrid Arts on TOS 2.06
I am the person who has contacted John Eidsvoog from "CodeHead" (John wrote two MIDI programs for Hybrid Arts: GenPatch ST and HybriSwitch), If you think that Mr. Eidsvoog's memory has a bug, maybe you can provide more information about it. So far, the only sure thing I see on this subjec...

Re: HybriSwitch software from Hybrid Arts on TOS 2.06
Still questionable if Eidsvoog actually holds the copyright. He may of coded something for them but retains no rights. That's often the case. In every instance of tracking down any gfa related items, including the books, every author told me the same thing, they didn't hold the copyright. But then, ...

Re: Omikron.Basic - the "Other Basic"
I think what's more relevant is the current level of popularity. STOS has a huge facebook group and the GFA one is quite large as well. Are there any sites hosting large Omikron groups? Not that I'm aware of. By this logic you'd have to be fair and give all the other packed in basics subsections and...

Re: HybriSwitch software from Hybrid Arts on TOS 2.06
Please contact the owners and get their permission to post. Hi again dbsys. A friend of mine did a little detective work and managed to get into contact with John Eidsvoog, the original author and copyright holder for HybriSwitch, and he replied as follows: "No one ever asked me about HybriSwi...
