Re: ROBOCOP 2. Amiga or ST?

As a huge Robocop (Film and Coin-Op) fan, i found the Home games a very mixed bag. The Original Robocop was superb on a 128K ZX Spectrum, C64 version looked nice, but bugged, not found a console version i like. I really enjoyed the Speccy version too, although before I got my ST I played the Amstra...

Re: Atari Legend is back! Updates thread...

Looks fantastic. So glad you got rid of the font for the main text. I can read it so much easier now! Really enjoyed the review of Fascination. I remember owning the big box version of that game, and having to hide it from my mum at the time! edit: Holy poo, Alan Tomkins! This guy was my hero ...

ROBOCOP 2. Amiga or ST?

I first played Robocop 2 on a demo disk from Amiga Format at a friends house (I think it was Amiga Format anyway, may have been another mag) and man it looked and sounded amazing. The sprites were huge and the nuke animations when you shot someone looked fantastic at the time... So I bought it for S...

Sounds like it could be fun, and very similar to how unfair the original adventure games were on the speccy.

What's the way to patch STOS programs for TOS 2.06? I got this one (attached). It does not recognize joystick button pressure. Tried in this thread, but I had no success: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=32982 Currently it works under TOS 1.02 This thread has been dead for a long ti...

Re: Atari ST Game Sound FX Sample Archive?

Not all ST games use sampled sounds. Many just use YM register settings to provide sound effects. This requires disassembly of source code to obtain their values and contexts. I thought Neil was just talking about the sampled sounds, and forgive me if I'm wrong about this, but was thinking more abo...

Yeah, but on the down side, you couldn't play it with a printer plugged in, or else you just got the elf shooting himself silly at the nearest wall :D

Re: Gauntlet II vs Ranarama (ST) - Which Is Best?

both are amazing games... One was included in the 520STFM Power Pack, the other one was in The 1040STFM pack if I remember correctly?

Gauntlet II is the better game though in my opinion, but Ranarama has one of the best title tunes for any ST game.

So, VC redist. is not backward compatible, and we need to install multiple versions (if it is possible and they don't kill each other) for making SW to run ? That sucks ! Microsoft did this things better in the past. Or they just want people getting new Win versions. Oh god, no they didn't  Th...

Re: Never Ported respectively released for ST

Indy 4 (the SCUMM adventure) on the Amiga wasn't even downgraded from 256 to 32 colours, pretty sure it had only a 24 colour pallete throughout.

And at least we did (sort of) get Indy 4 on ST :D

Star Ray, though couldn't find the full intro :(

Was the sampled version at the start in the Powerpack version? I'm guessing probably not, but my memory is fuzzy.

And my submission is for this:

Still have this intro music in my head.
