Catalog of music software in German

Post by AnachronyX »

Is this somehow useful for anyone? It has 116 pages, the file in the link below is just a sample. I hope Mega.nz isn't forbidden here.

Oh, I'll try another way to upload. I have an adblock in browser.

O.K., my fault. I didn't notice that I could upload the files directly here to the forum.

Hm. not much in there. A title page (whose picture seems to be responsible for 95% of the 2.7MB file), a page with a table of contents and just only one page of text. Seems something has gone wrong there?

And yes, you can upload files here directly, but for larger files i think it is recommended to provide an external link (but mileage may vary, in some forums external links are deprecated, because they tend to disappear after a while, might depend on how much space is available for such files).

Yes, I uploaded just a sample. Title page, one page of table of content and some random page. I don't know, if it has any value for someone, so I didn't scan whole catalog. I don't want to do useless work, if nobody want it :)

Yes, it would be great to have that music software catalog. I've been looking for it since years. It's quite useful to all MIDI musicians since it describes the MIDI software and hardware of that time.

O.K., guys, here it is. The scanning is far from perfect, but I hope the copy will be useful. For me it's a stunning piece of work, even I can't speak German.

Thanks for your work! This is highly appreciated.
Many of those titles are probably "lost", but hopefully some of them can somehow be made available as freeware to the public if the original authors can still be contacted.
