Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Okay, tried to login this evening and got a security warning.
I had to force it to continue to the website... Anyone else
getting this? Thanks....

There was a warning about the certificate having expired when I connected and I had to manually say I wanted to connect anyway, so probably nothing more than the certificate having to be renewed.

Yes the SSL certificate is expiring on 23 May 2022. Hopefully one can be generated soon enough by the admins/ @Dal

I've let Dal know.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).
I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Awesome, thanks. I figured since I was able to make it on,
it was something like that- nothing major.
Gotta have my daily Atari-Forum fix you know!

So you are already aware of it, fine.
Power without the Price. It's not a bug. It's a feature. _/|\_ATARI

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Chrome/ium gives me warning for *every* page, and forces me to do do advance->proceed on all of them (e.g. to post this one, I needed to do it several times, along with "Confirm for re-submission" confirmations resulting from that).

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Maybe depends on the browser settings strict or moderate ?
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
The https access is secure by a TLS certificate from DigiCert Inc. This is simply expired. This can be fixed just by an admin. I'd recommend to automate this process with Letsencrypt certificates.
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Just use chrome in Incognito mode. It will ask you for the 1st time and then after that it will not ask you again.

Think its fixed? For did a refresh login here after reboot and no questions which I didn't last time.
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
No. It is not. The forum/website needs to update the certificate.

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
My mobile browser (Brave) fires off lots of prompts and warnings constantly. So frustrating!

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
My mobile Chrome just displays pages WITHOUT any prompting.... WOW this is the 2nd method for me that works well.

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Btw you can observe how drastically it affects active users (and posts count), it must be on its all-year low now.
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
I don't see why this would need so much time to be fixed, tbh. Particularly, since the process of getting a new certificate seemingly was already started on May 23rd, given that there is at least a pre-certificate in the transparency log: https://crt.sh/?id=6784577849
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Yes. It's getting annoying. Is there anything we can help with?
Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
Yes, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. This is killing the forum.

Re: Security Warning! with Atari-Forum website?
All I can do is ask Dal via FB. I've posted him the link to this thread and hopefully he will respond with what's being done or has been done.
