This is really good news, I've downloaded the trial version. There's a lot of competition around these days though.

Lemkesoft took over the development of iCalamus2 for Mac.
Interesting, any way they will support the Atari version still? Not sure about the Mac version, but the Windows version was just wrapped within an Atari ST emulator, which also works great in Wine.
iCalamus hasn’t got anything to do with Atari, it’s a complete rewrite.

Bummer. I don't own (nor want to) a Mac. Then again I already have the full on gigantic Calamus for Atari :)

Wow you still have the full Calamus for Atari? I so wish I did have both actually. Thanks for sharing this about iCalamus though, I miss the simply but powerful functionality of Calamus. I always compare any new DTP software to Calamus even now Calamus often wins on ease of use.

Yeah, I ordered it right before they closed up shop. Got the printed manual as well. I wonder if you can still order it and how long their website will be up. But it is the 2015R4 version that I got.

Their website still shows that you can order it, I believe. Not sure if they still have physical manuals anymore. I kind of wondered when I look at their page if they just did a 'fire sale, we're closing the doors!' just as a means to get people to stop asking for updates? Seems their forums are still somewhat active for support.

Look at their last post, issued in March 2018:
https://www.calamus.net/news/2018/180311_1.php?lan=en

At the very end of this post it says:
Important: As of April 1, 2018, all ordering buttons in all order forms will be switched off (no April fool). The website will stay online in order to keep the applications and information available. I myself can still be reached via the known email addresses if you still need support or have lost a license code.

Sad, though at the same time I'm glad I snagged a copy of the manual and the software, including all the plugins.
