Feature A patch to add a new display driver for Linux is being reviewed. What's unusual is that it's for a machine released 30 years ago.

So now you can have full ST/TT-Shifter/Videl support in modern Linux based on new code and there is new 68k target for QEMU.

Register's article is a bit confusing offtopic in the 2nd half as it mixes some Amiga, AFROS, Vampire and PiStorm things in, but anyhow, it remarks that there is EmuTOS occupying Amigas and no word about MiNT.

Small clarification for those not following Linux kernel development...

Linux has supported Atari gfx HW for a long time. What is new, is old fbdev stuff being deprecated in kernel and gfx needing to be based on on Linux DRM infrastructure: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Rendering_Manager
